As the largest private hospital with the only private 24 hr. Emergency Department and Critical Care unit in northwestern Melbourne, John Fawkner Private works with highly skilled visiting specialists who offer subspecialty expertise.
As a Physiotherapist, your responsibilities will include:
* Providing comprehensive Physiotherapy services to Rehabilitation patients and acute surgical inpatients (including orthopaedics, general surgery, cardiac and neurosurgery)
* Delivering excellent clinical services related to assessment, treatment, planning and evidence-based practice
* Participating in program development and quality improvement activities within the Allied Health Department
* Working closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients and their support people
* Discharge planning with the multidisciplinary team and referrals to external services
* Clinical supervision of physiotherapy and allied health assistant students where required
Minimum Requirements:
* Bachelor in Physiotherapy
* Current AHPRA Registration
* Able to work a range of shifts
* Excellent clinical practice skills to manage a high acuity caseload
* Minimum 1 years’ experience in an acute hospital environment
* Prior experience in a Rehabilitation setting would be advantageous
* Highly developed communication skills and interpersonal skills
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Excellent organisation and time management skills
* Commitment to interdisciplinary teamwork
* Proactive, customer-focused approach
