If this sounds like you, maybe a Support Worker role with an award-winning charity is the change you’ve been looking for We are currently recruiting for a full-time Support Worker to join our Alva team, supporting 8 individuals who live in their own self-contained flats and helping them to live as independently as possible. Here we support 5 gentlemen and 3 ladies ranging from 19-48 in age so we're looking for applicants who are motivated, fun and enthusiastic The people we support have faced a lot of challenges in the past because of their learning disabilities, mental health concerns and general health, but this hasn’t stopped them from enjoying life The people we support enjoy lots of activities, including cycling, going to the gym, walking, going to the pub, having a boogie, listening to music and cooking up a storm. However, they’re always up for trying new things, so are looking for inventive people who are up for the challenge. Our support team are very diverse and work well together to ensure the people we support are happy and safe in their own homes. This can include: • Supporting them with medication • Cooking • Assisting and prompting with personal care • Maintaining the homes of people supported and managing their finances Our team provide support 24 hours a day, so we are looking for flexibility to work a mixture of day shifts and waking nights. There will be some weekend work required, which is generally 2 weekends a month for full-time staff.
