People & Payroll Coordinator
Location: Covent Garden, London
Hours: 37.5 hours per week. People & Payroll Coordinator work Mon-Fri, the hours of 9:00am - 5:30pm.
We are looking for a highly organized and efficient People & Payroll Coordinator to join our team! In this role, you will support the People Team in delivering exceptional service across all stages of the employee lifecycle, from onboarding and payroll to employee relations and recruitment. You'll also assist with ad hoc projects aligned with the People Strategy, as well as manage reporting and data administration.
As the first point of contact for employees, you will provide professional, friendly, and timely assistance in line with our company values. Reporting to the People Operations Manager, you will also support the Group HR Director with diary management and general administration.
Key Responsibilities as People & Payroll Coordinator:
* Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle processes including pre-employment, onboarding, and offboarding.
* Administer People Team systems (BambooHR, PowerBi dashboard, Intranest) to ensure accurate data management, tracking absence, turnover, and retention.
* Coordinate and process contracts, changes in terms of employment, and recruitment authorization.
* Liaise with external vendors (IT, referencing services) to set up employee accounts and complete background checks.
* Oversee the People Team inbox, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
* Provide support and guidance on HR policies and procedures (e.g., sick leave, benefits, pension).
* Maintain employee data in HR systems and manage bulk data uploads and updates.
* Coordinate payroll preparation, ensuring all required documents are collected, and work with the finance team and People Operations Partner on payroll reviews, queries and final checks.
* Support the People Operations Partner with payroll queries and final checks.
* Foster a supportive team environment and contribute to broader HR tasks, including recruitment support (e.g., interview scheduling, CV screening).
Skills & Experience we're looking for:
* Experience in HR administration and payroll coordination.
* Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines.
* Positive energy and a collaborative team player.
* Curiosity and a desire to improve processes and efficiency.
* Familiarity with HR systems like BambooHR and PowerBi is a plus.
