We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join an SEMH school in Liverpool on a full-time, temp-to-perm basis, with an immediate start. Position Details: Role: Teaching Assistant Location: SEMH School, Liverpool Contract: Temp to Perm, Full-time, Immediate Start Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs, helping them manage emotions and behaviour. Assist teaching staff in delivering engaging and supportive lessons. Build strong, trusting relationships with students to help remove barriers to learning. Implement effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment. Support students in their academic progress and emotional development. Ideal Candidate: Resilient, patient, and calm when managing challenging behaviour. Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to de-escalate difficult situations. Empathetic and understanding towards students who have struggled in mainstream education. A team player who can build rapport with both students and staff. Experience working with SEMH students or in a similar setting is desirable but not essential. Requirements: Previous experience in a school or educational setting, preferably with SEMH or SEN students. A positive, adaptable attitude to meet the diverse needs of students. A genuine passion for supporting young people and making a difference in their lives.
