Description
At Day to Day Care, our services are tailored to the specific needs of our clients and we are currently looking for enthusiastic, dedicated Homecare Workers to uphold and deliver the high standards of care that our clients require to remain living within the comfort of their own homes.
As a Homecare Worker, you will provide assistance ranging from personal care (e.g., help with getting up, washing, bathing, and toileting) to practical support with domestic tasks such as laundry, cleaning, shopping, and preparing meals. In some cases, and only where you have been properly trained, you may be required to provide specialized care to support people with more complex needs.
Operating mainly in the Bromley and Orpington areas, all our Homecare Workers are assigned to specific neighbourhoods and allowed sufficient travel time between appointments. We ensure you have long enough to give your clients the high-quality support our reputation relies on.
We provide the necessary and time-critical information you need to do your job using mobile phone technology, making it easier for you to perform your duties effectively.
As a Day to Day Care Homecare Worker, you will be challenged daily to deliver the best possible care at home to our clients. We aim to recruit high-quality candidates who are flexible, reliable, and client-focused, and we provide ongoing training and career development to help everyone reach their full potential.
We value, respect, and trust every member of our team and only select individuals with the right attitude and aptitude for homecare support.
Qualifications
A career as a Homecare Worker can be extremely rewarding. You do not need formal care experience to be the right type of person for this role. If you are a genuinely caring person who puts the needs of the client first, you may be a great fit for us.
A good Homecare Worker will develop a sound understanding of care principles and excellent communication skills. You should be even-tempered, patient, and able to cope under pressure and with change. Importantly, you will need to display empathy and warmth and build relationships with your clients and those around them.
As this is a community based role, the successful candidate will need access to their own vehicle and be eligible to drive in the UK.
We are committed to our Homecare Workers and treat colleagues fairly and with respect. We offer pay rates that are above the industry average, as well as paid travel time. As a valued employee, you will receive paid leave (up to 28 days per year), be enrolled in the company pension scheme, and receive a free uniform and protective equipment, including gloves, aprons, and hand gel.
We emphasize your personal and career development, and in addition to mandatory training, we encourage you to pursue additional professional qualifications. With the proper training, you will feel confident in your job, provide great care, and potentially increase your salary as you gain further qualifications and experience.
As a family-run business, we believe every staff member deserves to be listened to and supported, so you can be the very best you can be. We have a friendly and experienced office team to support our care staff.
The Interview Process
Applicants meeting the above criteria will be invited to schedule a short telephone interview, during which we will be happy to answer any questions you may have regarding the role and working for Day to Day Care Ltd. Successful candidates will then be invited to schedule a face-to-face interview to assess suitability for the role.
DBS Certificates
If you do not have a current DBS certificate, we can arrange this for you. A DBS certificate costs £65. You will need to meet the cost initially, and we will reimburse you once you complete three months of employment.
