About the Role:
As an Educational Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teachers and students to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. You will work closely with students who require additional academic and emotional support, helping them engage with lessons, develop confidence, and reach their potential.
Responsibilities:
* Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities.
* Providing one-on-one and small group support to students who require additional help.
* Supporting students with SEN, learning difficulties, or behavioural needs.
* Encouraging independent learning and confidence-building.
* Helping manage classroom behaviour and fostering a positive learning environment.
* Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to track student progress.
* Ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
* Support the student with daily routines, transitions, and classroom expectations.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience working in an educational or support role (desirable but not essential).
* A patient, encouraging, and adaptable approach to supporting learners.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with staff and students.
* The ability to motivate and engage students in learning activities.
* Basic knowledge of safeguarding and SEN support (training can be provided).
* A passion for education and making a difference in students’ lives.

* Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last two years.
* Have an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one through GSL Education.
