Cover Supervisor
Location: Weston-super-Mare
Salary: From £110 up to £135 per day depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, between 8:15am to 3:15pm (part-time would also be considered)
Starting date: 22nd of April until 22nd of July. It could be extended or become permanent.
About the role.
Affinity Workforce is looking for a Cover Supervisor to join BroadOak Academy in Weston-super-Mare. In this role, you'll step in for teachers, managing classrooms and keeping students on track with their work. Broad Oak Academy is part of the Cabot Learning Federation, which runs schools across Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset, Gloucester, and Somerset. The Federation works hard to maintain high standards in quality, safety, and good practices across all its schools.

Responsibilities:
1. Supervising and assisting pupils: Ensuring engagement with classwork, providing help with preset up tasks, and encouraging interaction.
2. Fostering independence and trust: Helping pupils become self-reliant in learning and addressing their individual needs.
3. Create a positive environment: Maintaining a safe and supportive classroom atmosphere while promoting good behavior and conflict resolution.
4. Providing feedback to teachers: Reporting on pupils' achievements, progress, and any concerns.
5. Upholding policies and procedures: Ensuring adherence to child protection, health, and confidentiality policies, and reporting concerns to the appropriate person.
6. Supervising outside classroom activities: Assisting with pupil supervision during breaks, before and after school.
What we are looking for:
1. Previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor or Teacher.
2. Fluent level of spoken and written English with excellent communication skills.
3. You must also pass an enhanced background (DBS) check.
4. An Undergraduate Education Degree or a degree in any subject.
5. Patience, empathy and a positive attitude.
6. Basic understanding of the national Key Stage Curriculum.
7. Previous Experience working in a UK school will be desirable.
