Job Opportunity: Front Desk Administrator at MOD
Brook Street is excited to offer a part-time position supporting the Ministry of Defence in Thorney Island, Portsmouth. Join our client team to support the DPHC in delivering safe and effective healthcare within the regional base. The role focuses on operational support and coordination to enhance healthcare delivery.
Responsibilities:
* Booking appointments and managing patient correspondence using Outlook and DMICP (training provided if needed).
* Monitoring podiatry insoles with spreadsheets, DMICP, and Outlook.
* Sending non-attendance letters to patients via spreadsheets, DMICP, and Outlook.
* Organizing patient attendance for courses, including sending instructions and booking appointments.
* Responding to appointment queries by answering phones and managing appointment schedules in DMICP.
* Booking MRI scans for patients using DMICP and Outlook.
* Maintaining the appointment data system, similar to Excel, after training.
Requirements:
* Strong administrative and office management skills.
* Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
* Interpersonal skills to build successful relationships.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in healthcare or defence environments.
* Knowledge of electronic procurement and financial documentation processes.
Additional Details:
Pay Rate: £12.99/hour plus a 50p/hour allowance.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 26 hours/week, 08:00-16:00 or 08:30-16:30, based on business needs.
Duration: Until 26/11/2024, with potential extension based on performance.
Location: Baker Barracks, Thorney Island, Portsmouth, PO10 8DH.
Security: Successful candidates will undergo a 3-year activity check and a basic DBS.
