Psychology Lead Teacher Responsibilities:
* Department Leadership: Lead and manage the psychology department, setting strategic goals and ensuring high academic standards.
* Curriculum Development: Oversee the development and continuous improvement of the psychology curriculum, incorporating innovative teaching methods.
* Teaching Excellence: Deliver engaging and high-quality psychology lessons that inspire students and promote a deep understanding of the subject.
* Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning within the psychology department, implementing improvements where necessary.
* Resource Management: Manage departmental resources, including budget, teaching materials, and staff schedules.
* Policy Implementation: Ensure that school policies, particularly those related to the psychology department, are implemented effectively.
* Stakeholder Communication: Act as a point of contact between the psychology department and other stakeholders, such as school leadership, parents, and external bodies.
Requirements:
* Must hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Proven experience teaching psychology at the secondary level, with a strong track record of student achievement.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a department, with experience in curriculum development and staff mentorship.
