The Opportunity:
We are excited to offer an outstanding opportunity for an experienced HSE Manager to join a forward-thinking, global manufacturing company. This organisation has undergone remarkable growth, quadrupling its turnover and expanding its workforce to over 500 employees across multiple UK sites in just five years. With significant investment in UK-based manufacturing, the company is at the forefront of innovation within the healthcare and medical device sector.
Due to a restructuring at one of their Northwest manufacturing sites, the business is seeking a highly motivated HSE Manager to enhance their Safety, Health, and Environmental standards.
The Role:
As the HSE Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving and embedding the highest standards of safety, health, and environmental practices. Reporting to the Group Logistics & HSE Manager, your responsibilities will include:
* Implementing and maintaining ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
* Ensuring compliance with current safety, health, and environmental legislation.
* Acting as the key liaison between site teams and senior management to foster a positive safety culture.
* Supporting the development and execution of site-specific SH&E systems and policies.
* Delivering training and coaching to enhance HSE awareness across all levels of staff.
* Conducting regular site audits, risk assessments, and accident investigations, driving corrective actions.
* Championing continuous improvement initiatives to maintain industry-leading standards.
About You:
To excel in this role, you should have the following qualifications and experience:
* NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent (essential).
* Minimum 3 years of SH&E experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Proven experience in environmentally regulated facilities.
* Familiarity with ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and ISO 45001 standards.
* Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage employees at all levels.
* IT proficiency, including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
* A hands-on, proactive approach, with the ability to work independently.
