About the Job: The ‘Production Operative – Housekeeping’ is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment within the ceramic manufacturing facility. Duties include but are not limited to the cleaning of equipment, machinery, floors, walls, and other areas (high & low level) ensuring safety standards and production readiness are maintained. What you are responsible for: Clean equipment and machinery using appropriate cleaning agents, tools, and techniques taking care not to damage products Clean floors, walls, work surfaces, and other areas as needed, using appropriate cleaning agents, tools, and techniques Empty waste from designated areas and dispose of materials in the correct manner Follow safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and equipment used in the course of your duties Report equipment defects, safety concerns, and near misses to leadership immediately. Assist with maintenance tasks, as needed In some cases, the Production Operative – Housekeeping may be asked to maintain the facility's common and outside areas according to need. What you have already: Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (ideal but not essential) Ability to work independently, and as part of a team Trustworthy Fully committed to safety and providing others with a clean and orderly working environment A ‘completer finisher’ with strong attention to detail Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, and to take the initiative Knowledge of cleaning agents, tools, and techniques (ideal but not essential)
