The Role We are looking for a Lead Academy Goalkeeping Coach (U9-U16) to cover the full goalkeeping coaching remit, leading on an effective coaching programme for Goalkeepers aged U9-U16. In this exciting role, you'll be entrusted with line managing our foundation and early youth Goalkeeping Coaches and developing the U15-U16 Goalkeepers. Your day-to-day Manage coaching programmes for Academy Goalkeepers - you'll be managing all aspects of the coaching programme for U15s to U16s Goalkeepers at our club and you will oversee our U9-U14 Lead Goalkeeping Coaches Design and implement key sessions - you'll be responsible for creating and implementing all Goalkeeper training sessions and general training and performance programmes, and you will ensure that appropriate sessions are implemented to cater for all Goalkeepers on the programme and demonstrate a progressive and transparent structure Assist with pre-match preparation and analysis - you will eagerly collaborate with our U15s and U16s Head Coaches to provide impactful match preparation and you'll carry out opposition analysis to provide our Goalkeepers with video and statistical data on upcoming opponents, including detailed penalty analysis Provide in-depth feedback - you'll diligently prepare and deliver all video analysis used for player and team feedback and you will deliver classroom sessions reviewing training and match situations to further aid Goalkeeper development Champion innovation - you will relish the opportunity to provide new and innovative ideas to incorporate into training sessions which challenge and captivate our Goalkeepers, pushing them to excel and improve Partner with our Head of Youth Recruitment - you'll provide our Talent ID team with objective and and subjective analysis to identify future goalkeeping talent for recruitment purposes Collaborate with senior colleagues on critical programmes - you will effectively work with our Head of Academy Goalkeeping and Head of Academy Coaching to support a programme of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) for the Academy coaching team Encourage our Goalkeepers to adopt a growth mindset - you'll take pride in providing players with a reporting platform to give constructive feedback at the end of each term and you will identify and define short, medium and long-term goals for the Academy Goalkeepers within the coaching programme What we are looking for Proven track record in academy level goalkeeper coaching - you're equipped with experience of coaching Goalkeepers across relevant age groups at academy level and you are easily able to identify and define short, medium and long-term goals for a youth squad coaching programme Credible expertise - you proudly hold at least an FA Level 3/UEFA B Coaching award and ideally an FA Level 4/UEFA A Coaching award in Goalkeeping Forward-thinking approach - you come with an up to date understanding of modern coaching methods and strategies and are well versed in implementing, managing and monitoring development plans Inspiring and truster leader - you thrive when you're leading, managing and developing a team of coaches with varying levels of experience Best-in-class collaborator - you've got a history of working with senior colleagues to integrate Goalkeeper coaching programmes into an academy development plan Excellent communication skills - you're able to build and maintain impactful relationships with a diverse range of colleagues and tailor your approach and style as necessary Flexible and adaptable approach - you possess exceptional organisational and time management skills and are able to prioritise efficiently without compromising on speed, accuracy or quality Proud ambassador for our club - you boldly act as a role model at all times, embodying our Academy's values of discipline, humility and respect and our wider club values Why choose us At Arsenal, we want everyone to feel a sense of trust and belonging, so we are proud of both our club values and also what we offer to our employees.
