The role is required to protect our client’s commercial interests through effective commercial management, ensuring the team delivers the same through leadership, support, and guidance. This includes ensuring contractual terms are understood, and that contractual events are properly managed to support delivering predictability for the Project.

* Attend client meetings as required, coordinating outcomes and actions with relevant stakeholders while managing Client’s expectations.
* Support the coordination of delivery workstreams, acting as an ambassador for the Client and key stakeholders.
* Ensure there is an updated estimate of the total project cost at all times.
* Work with the Project/Package Managers to effectively manage and communicate contract variations.
* Produce commercial reports as required to inform the ongoing status of the project.

You’ll Need to Have:
* Experience of Leading a Commercial Team/Function.
* Experience of commercially managing projects within a regulated environment.
* Regulated industry experience - Nuclear/defence experience preferred.
* Experience in the commercial management of NEC4 Contracts.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Extensive experience as a Commercial Manager managing NEC Contracts.
* Excellent commercial and financial acumen.
You’ll Also Have:
* Degree in quantity surveying/cost management (or equivalent).
* Professional membership or working towards MRICS/RICS, or equivalent.
* Knowledge of value engineering, life cycle costing, contract law, and contractual frameworks.
* Awareness of how carbon and sustainability considerations may influence the project.
