About The Department
Adviser Product & Technology Operations (ProdOps) is an enabling function within abrdn. We create, and continuously improve, the end-to-end environment in which our colleagues deliver value. We embody the values of our agile Product Operating Model, applying the same rigor as the Enabling, Product, and Journey Teams to create customer value and demonstrate a tangible return on investment.
About The Role
As Head of Product Insight, you will be responsible for ongoing reviews of our investment platform creating Decision Advantage for abrdn Adviser.
Your primary focus will be on ensuring narratives are reliable and meaningful to enable teams to make informed confident evidenced based decisions. To do this you will bring together multiple sources of data and research to create a coherent, structured foundation for product and client analysis. Using a variety of data & analytic techniques you will identify key trends and opportunities that drive strategic decision-making.
This exciting role will also play a key role in increasing data literacy across the organisation, equipping stakeholders with the skills and understanding needed to interpret insights effectively and embed data-driven thinking into everyday decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
1. Leading your team to support improvements, and identify gaps, that enhance our ability to deliver data-driven customer value, whilst creating a Decision Advantage for abrdn Adviser.
2. Increasing data literacy across the organisation, equipping stakeholders with the skills and understanding needed to interpret insights effectively and embed data-driven thinking into everyday decision-making.
3. With strong communication and storytelling skills, you will translate complex findings into clear, compelling insights that shape abrdn's product development, customer engagement, and business growth.
Knowledge, Skills And Experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
1. Ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team.
2. Strong ability to collect, clean, and structure datasets from multiple sources.
3. Proficiency in experience with Analytics tools.
4. Ability to extract meaningful insights from data to inform product and business decisions.
5. Experience in identifying product gaps and opportunities based on data and research.
6. Ability to foster a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and continuous learning.
7. Passion for increasing data literacy across an organisation.
