The Role: As a Senior Technical Coordinator, you will support the Operations Director in managing, coordinating, and delivering technical and design information across strategic and live residential projects. Based at the head office in Essex, you will oversee local projects, ensuring seamless coordination between design, planning, and construction teams. Key Responsibilities: Pre-Acquisition Support: Conduct due diligence, commission technical reports, and assess site constraints to inform development decisions. Planning & Design Coordination: Review and optimize planning layouts, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage external consultants for investigative site surveys. Technical & Project Implementation: Appoint and oversee design teams, manage budgets, and coordinate detailed design packages to facilitate procurement and construction. Regulatory & Compliance Oversight: Ensure projects adhere to Building Regulations, NHBC standards, and relevant statutory requirements. Stakeholder & Consultant Liaison: Engage with local authorities, utility providers, and sub-contractors to clear conditions and progress developments efficiently. Sustainability & Quality Assurance: Lead the integration of sustainability measures, oversee design audits, and coordinate health & safety compliance. Sales & Handover Support: Provide technical information for marketing materials, conveyancing plans, and plot registrations. Essential Experience & Skills: 5 years' experience in residential development or working with a principal contractor. Proven track record in managing and coordinating technical and design elements from early planning stages through to project completion. Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations, NHBC standards, planning processes, and environmental compliance. Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills for effective engagement with architects, engineers, and site teams. Strong decision-making and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related discipline is highly desirable.
