Salary: SO2, £38,754.00 - £40,893.00 per annum

As a Personnel Security Vetting Unit Supervisor you will join an expanding team assessing whether people applying for posts, or those currently employed by the Force are susceptible to corruption, might do significant harm to the organisation thereby bringing it into disrepute, or pose a threat to the safety and security of the public. You will work closely with the Vetting Analysts ensuring that they are making the correct decisions and have considered all risks and mitigating circumstances before vetting clearance is granted or declined.

Essential Qualifications
Educated to QCF Level 4 OR relevant professional experience deemed to have brought the postholder to a comparable level
RSA II Typewriting or appropriate experience.
Essential Experience
Considerable working in a busy office environment involving:
Supervising staff including recruitment, development and training.
Conducting Performance Development Reviews.
The use of computers for data entry, analysis and general office practice.
Maintaining and updating complex record keeping systems, both computerised and manual.
Monitoring and Quality Assurance of documentation ensuring meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
Prioritising workloads of self and others against competing demands and meeting challenging deadlines
