This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of project management activities, helping to maintain project timelines, monitor progress, and facilitate stakeholder engagement. You’ll be at the heart of our digital transformation, supporting key projects that will impact the future of energy consumers.
As a key player in the Project Management Office (PMO) and Business Support function, you will co-ordinate administrative tasks, assist in financial processes, and provide essential project support to ensure everything runs seamlessly. You will work closely with project managers, senior leaders, and external stakeholders, helping to drive efficiency and deliver high-impact outcomes.
We’re looking for someone with strong organisational skills, experience in administrative or project management support roles, and a proactive mindset. You should be comfortable handling multiple tasks, managing financial administration, and working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. Knowledge of MS365 Office Suite and project management methodologies will be essential to success in this role.

You will be part of the Digital Delivery Team as Project Support Officer and will embrace the full potential of digital and data in our work and support significant changes in the energy sector. The PMO and Business Support role is a critical position that supports the Project Management and business operations by ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of projects and providing comprehensive administrative support. The role involves coordinating project activities, maintaining project documentation, facilitating communication, and assisting with business support tasks.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide day-to-day administrative support on tasks such as conducting research, arranging meetings (Face to Face and Virtual), maintaining accurate records, data input and contract management.
* Assist in preparation of reports, presentations, and correspondence.
* Be a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, handling inquiries and requests promptly and professionally.
* Assist in organising events, conferences, and other networking activities.
* Support in preparing and distributing project documents and reports.
* Use bespoke internal financial systems to raise purchase orders; process invoices, interrogate financial and resourcing systems for ad hoc enquiries and problem solving.
* Support the development of systems and procedures where necessary to ensure efficiency, quality and cost effectiveness across the business support and administration function.
* Organising and controlling own workload ensuring deadlines are observed and duties performed efficiently.
* Answering telephone calls, participating in video conferencing calls, booking meeting rooms, taking minutes and actions and other general administrative tasks requested by Senior Managers.
Role Criteria
* Relevant experience working in an administrative/PMO/Project Management Support role.
* Proficient in Microsoft MS365 Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, SharePoint).
* Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
* Experience of working under pressure handling multiple tasks and prioritising your own workload.
* Experience supporting creating reports and presentations.
* Ability to analyse data.
