Registered Veterinary Nurse - Small Animal
We are currently seeking a full-time RVN to join our friendly, passionate team in Enniskillen.
Your New Role
In this role, as a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral part of our team, responsible for providing exceptional care to our patients. Your daily tasks will include running nurse clinics, delivering inpatient care, assisting with diagnostic imaging, and performing lab work. You will also play a key role in administering anaesthesia and monitoring patients during surgical procedures. In addition, you will be involved in assisting with consultations, discharges, and ongoing patient care, while ensuring accurate and thorough record-keeping.
Working with a Supportive Team
Our collaborative approach means you'll work closely with a supportive team of 3 nurses, 6 vets, and 4 support staff to ensure we deliver the best possible service to our clients. We have a warm, welcoming team that is deeply passionate about their work. We foster a collaborative approach to both case management and nursing care, with regular team meetings to keep everyone aligned. Our management team is approachable and supportive, creating an open and positive environment.
Our veterinary team consists of a mix of medical and surgical vets, handling a broad range of cases from soft tissue surgery to orthopaedics. We are fully equipped with top-of-the-line facilities, including a dental x-ray machine, ultrasound, IDEXX laboratory, blood pressure monitoring, full anaesthetic monitoring, and ECG. Additionally, part of our practice is undergoing a full refurbishment this year, and we are proud to be an RCVS accredited practice.
What Skills You'll Bring to Our Team
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Registered Veterinary Nurse who is passionate about providing exceptional care to our patients. You should be a proactive team player with a strong work ethic and the ability to work well under pressure. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both with clients and colleagues, and be confident in a range of nursing duties, including nurse consultations, anaesthesia monitoring, inpatient care, and surgical assistance. A willingness to learn and develop further skills is key, as we encourage professional growth and support personal interests.
Working Hours
This is a full-time position designed to promote a great work-life balance, with an average of 35 hours over 4 weeks. You will be part of a 1 in 4 out-of-hours rota. Our weekend out-of-hours service is handled by our partners, MiNightVet, who cover from Saturday at 5pm until Monday morning. We are open to flexible working hours, and accommodation can be arranged upon request.
