We have a unique opportunity for an aspiring Safety professional to help us ‘Brew a Safe Culture’ across our Brewery and Support Office.
The role of a Brewery and Tenanted Safety Advisor is a great opportunity for someone who has a passion for two main areas of safety: Health & Safety and Fire Safety. You will share your enthusiasm and drive to influence our teams while progressing your career. As part of the small (3 including you) but perfectly formed Safety Team, you will work closely with internal stakeholders in our Property, Engineering, Production, and Tenanted teams, communicating and ensuring compliance with our safety policies and procedures, together with arranging safety-related training. You will assist the People Leaders in each function and our Tenanted Pubs with investigations following accidents or incidents, advise post-audits on corrective actions, and collectively influence everyone to maintain a safe workplace for all.

* Working Hours: Full-time, hours per week. 08:30 - 17:00, Monday to Friday with 1 hour lunch (unpaid).
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Provide day-to-day support to the wider safety team and collaborate with all Brewery and Support Office stakeholders to drive a best-practice safety culture.
* Advise the People Leaders to prioritise, improve and complete all corrective actions following daily observations, internal auditing, and third-party inspection.
* Assist the Safety Team with the creation and execution of safety protocols including Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work (SSOWs), Accident, Incident, and Near-Miss investigation recording and reporting.
* Work closely with the Facilities Manager to ensure continuous statutory compliance across the Brewery and Support Office site.
* Support the development and implementation of new safety policies and systems.
* Objectively cultivate collaborative interactions to continually improve the company safety systems.
* Create and maintain safety files for the Brewery and Support Office in a confidential manner.
* Monitor, escalate, react and influence for continued compliance in all areas of safety.
* Accurately capture all relevant business statutory compliance items on the required system.
* Advise People Leaders and Tenanted pubs to process and record all accidents, incidents, and near misses, reports and escalations.
* Broaden working knowledge of Health and Safety and Fire Safety legislation that may affect our business.
* Other duties as needed and requested by the Safety Manager.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Preferred but not essential Level 3 Health & Safety qualification (aspiration to become qualified is preferred).
* Previous knowledge and experience of safety within the manufacturing industry.
* Observant and proficient in identifying, rectifying, and escalating hazards promptly.
* Passion for promoting and supporting a safety-focused culture with the confidence to take ownership of key initiatives.
* Conscientious professional with a strong commitment to safety.
* Friendly and approachable with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, both written and verbal.
* Diligent with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel & Outlook) and data analytical skills.
* Organised to effectively prioritise tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
