The Role:
As Curriculum Lead for Art, Design and Technology, you will:
* Have a specialism in Food, Art or Resistant Materials.
* Lead and manage the Art and DT departments, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning across both subjects.
* Design and deliver an engaging curriculum that inspires students to excel in Art and DT.
* Drive innovation and creativity, encouraging students to develop both practical and critical thinking skills.
* Oversee departmental planning, budgeting, and resource management.
* Use of a range of data to inform policies, practices, expectations, targets and teaching methods.
* Support and mentor staff within the departments to foster professional growth and collaboration.
* Promote student engagement through enrichment, exhibitions, competitions, and projects.
About You:
* We are looking for an inspiring and adaptable leader who:
* Is passionate about their subject.
* Communicates effectively with all staff, students and parents.
* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has experience teaching Art and/or DT
* Has proven leadership skills or the potential to excel in a leadership role.
* Is passionate about fostering creativity and practical skills in students.
* Can design and deliver an innovative and inclusive curriculum for Key Stages 3–5.
* Demonstrates strong organisational and communication skills.
* Is committed to creating an engaging and supportive learning environment for students and staff alike.
