What The Job Involves Delivering key processes for environment management, release management and configuration management, ensuring these are understood and followed in a consistent manner by all teams to ensure standards are met. Plan and coordinate the cloning and refresh of environments, covering all pre- and post-clone tasks across data, configuration and all other technical and non- technical tasks. Support quarterly upgrade processes. Plan and deliver pre and post quarterly tasks. Oversee the management and consistency of configuration and other elements between environments, providing clear reports and updates on the status, taking action when required to ensure ongoing synchronisation. Liaising with our implementation partner Inoapps, Oracle, Information Service Group and all other stakeholders order to ensure processes are followed and plans are delivered. Successful candidates will be able to work on and off campus to suit their role, work commitments and personal circumstances. We expect successful candidates to spend a minimum of 1 day per week in our office in central Edinburgh. Whilst the majority of activity undertaken by the successful candidate will be delivered in normal office hours this role will requires scheduled activity in evenings and weekends for which colleague receive time off in lieu. A bit about you: Successful candidates will have will have a track record in environment and release management and be able to control and manage lifecycle of tasks and software changes Communication skills are critical for this the role - colleagues should be able to communicate with a range of stakeholders: both inside the University and in external organisations; with technical colleagues and colleagues in business teams; and with colleagues at all levels of the University. Experience with Oracle Fusion or with other ERP systems is highly desirable. Knowledge of REST APIs, HDL loaders and FBDI and OTBI Reports are highly desirable.
