Your new company I am representing a well-established, family-run business in the Newtownabbey area, seeking to recruit a Senior Bookkeeper to report directly to the Managing Director. This reputable company has ambitious growth plans and is looking for an experienced bookkeeper to support them during this exciting period of expansion. Your new role Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for a variety of key duties, including:Maintaining Accurate Financial Records: Oversee all aspects of bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, VAT returns, and general ledger entries. Financial Reporting: Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports to management. Budget Management: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets, providing insights and recommendations for cost control and efficiency improvements. Office Management: Manage daily office operations, including scheduling, correspondence, and maintaining office supplies. What you'll need to succeed To be considered for this role, you should have proven experience as a bookkeeper with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in accounting software is essential, with experience using Xero being a distinct advantage. Ideal candidates will demonstrate excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
