Transport Co-Ordinator
Menzies Distribution are looking for a Transport Co-Ordinator to join our team, providing a first-class service in Kettering. The purpose of this role is to report and provide full support to the Transport Supervisor regarding all transport administration and compliance. The ideal candidate would have previous transport-related administration and customer service experience gained within a fast-paced distribution environment and be flexible.
The Details:
1. Salary: £28k Per Annum / £11.96 Per Hour
2. Site: Kettering
3. Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday Days
4. Hours: 08:00-17:00/45 Hours Per Week
5. Monthly Pay
6. Parking Onsite
Key Duties and Accountabilities:
1. Engage all external and internal customers by communicating in a friendly and professional manner ensuring that a good impression is maintained at all times.
2. Answer and respond to all incoming calls promptly and politely.
3. Ensure all internal/external customer queries or concerns are dealt with in a professional, friendly, and courteous manner.
4. Liaise with the management team ensuring the smooth operation of the transport department.
5. Monitor and chase documentation in support of the transport operation.
6. Undertake filing duties to meet the needs of the Transport Department.
7. Deal with customer orders ensuring quality accuracy, delivery timelines, instruction, and communication to all depot staff.
8. Maintain a harmonized people and customer-focused team working environment always seeking opportunities to improve our stakeholder's experience.
9. Maintain and expand an excellent proactive relationship with existing customers and suppliers.
10. Deal with customer and supplier inquiries and complaints from investigation through to closure.
11. Ensure that customer requirements are administered in a timely, controlled, and recorded manner.
12. Ensure that all work carried out is accounted for and processes for accurate charging and auditable trail are in place and followed.
13. Support and develop the process of Continuous Improvement, challenging working conditions, systems, and behaviors to increase performance and employee satisfaction.
14. Enter accurate data onto all internal systems and reports.
15. Maintain data security and integrity in line with business needs.
16. Maintain a safe working environment that complies with all aspects of the company's H & S Policy.
17. Scanning and processing of daily POD's.
18. Operation and monitoring of entrance and exit gates of contact sites.
19. Driver prebrief and debriefs.
20. Holiday and break cover for the Transport Supervisors.
Key Experience and Qualifications:
1. Excellent computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Word & Excel).
2. Previous administration experience.
3. Good numeric skills - including accuracy.
