Role Description and Purpose We have an excellent career opportunity for a experienced Sustainability Associate. You will be a member of the Sustainability Team, ensuring Triple Point meet sustainability commitments across the business and its investments. This will include being involved in responding to PRI and B Corp requirements, in addition to working with investment teams in planning and managing the flow of reporting content required. You will support investment teams in their ESG due diligence, working with the existing ESG analyst in data gathering and analysis using each strategy team’s bespoke ESG framework to analyse ESG and climate risk, in addition to supporting, enhancing, and developing ESG activities throughout the investment processes. Initially two of your key areas of responsibility will be supporting the Energy function and carbon reporting. You will also work closely with the Head of Sustainability in the implementation of Triple Point’s broader Global Sustainability Strategy through a range of project driven activities linked to ESG integration, responsible business conduct, stewardship and thematic product development. This is a unique opportunity to assume an ESG role within an innovative Sustainability Team in a leading UK alternatives and private equity investment house with an ambitious sustainable investment agenda. Key responsibilities Responding to RfPs and DDQs which seek technical detail on the firm and investment product approach to ESG integration and sustainability. Timely and successful completion of reporting aligned with sustainability commitments made by the business, including PRI, B Corp and NZAM. Timely updating of a range of sustainability related policies applicable across the business Working with colleagues to ensure timely completion of reporting commitments, including annual sustainability reporting and product reporting, including work on TCFD reporting. Supporting the team head in process implementation and management to ensure existing and evolving sustainability regulatory requirements are met across the business. Supporting the team head in management of Sustainability Governance structures in place across the business including the Sustainability Group and Sustainable Investment Subgroup. Working with other members of the Sustainability Team to ensure strong coverage of emerging ESG research and content to be shared across investment teams Role Requirements Technical skills 3 to 5 years relevant finance industry experience, not necessarily in private markets, but with a strong desire to work in the private market arena. Experience or understanding of carbon emissions reporting, NZAM reporting and TCFD production. Knowledge of ESG analysis frameworks and best practice, experience in social and/or governance frameworks preferred. Strong knowledge and interest in sustainability, environmental economics or related subject. Relevant financial and academic background. Experience or understanding of PRI and/or B Corp. Experience or understanding of sustainability-related regulation. Desirable: asset class experience of sustainability integration in real estate, energy and/or private credit.
