Overview
As a Senior Pensions Administrator, you’ll be highly organized and detail-oriented, coordinating a portfolio of occupational pension schemes, which may include DB, DC, and Hybrid pensions. You will ensure that all tasks and calculations are performed accurately and promptly. Your responsibilities include allocating cases, performing and verifying both automated and manual calculations, drafting and reviewing correspondence and reports, managing pensioner payrolls, and supporting the Client Executive team. Additionally, you will supervise and train up to two pensions administrators, approaching each case with dedication and vigilance to provide the highest level of service to scheme members.
How you'll make an impact
1. Carrying out and verifying pension administration tasks and calculations accurately and timely, in accordance with internal processes, policies, and regulations.
2. Managing workload efficiently, considering time for peer review of all cases.
3. Communicating with scheme members via email, letter, or telephone.
4. Preparing and reviewing member correspondence and client reports, managing cash flows, investments/disinvestments, and invoices.
5. Handling or reviewing non-standard client/member queries.
6. Collaborating with team members and building relationships with supporting teams.
7. Providing support and training to team members and assisting the Team Leader as needed.
8. Engaging with team members and maintaining transparency throughout the day.
9. Supporting the Client Executive team and attending client meetings or pitches when required.
About You
1. At least 3 years’ experience in defined benefit / defined contribution pension scheme administration.
2. Studying towards or achieved the Pension Management Institute’s CPC qualification.
3. Strong analytical skills with a logical problem-solving approach.
4. Accurate data processing, collection, and input skills.
5. Ability to apply pension knowledge and experience during case peer review, ensuring relevant information is provided to scheme members.
6. Excellent prioritization skills to meet deadlines and disclosure requirements.
7. Effective communication skills via telephone, letter, and email, with the ability to provide constructive team feedback.
8. Teamwork orientation and collaborative spirit.
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
