Design and Technology Technician – North Bristol

A 'GOOD' secondary school in North Bristol is seeking a Design and Technology Technician to support their DT department. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with practical skills and a keen interest in supporting students' learning in a creative and hands-on environment.
The Role:
As a Design and Technology Technician, you will:
* Prepare and maintain equipment, tools, and materials for DT lessons.
* Assist teachers in practical demonstrations and provide technical support to students.
* Ensure health and safety regulations are followed in the workshop.
* Organise and manage stock levels, ordering materials when necessary.
* Support the smooth running of the department by setting up and clearing away materials for lessons.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Experience in a similar role, or a background in engineering, woodwork, metalwork, or product design.
* Strong practical skills and confidence in using workshop tools and machinery.
* A good understanding of health and safety regulations in a school or workshop environment.
* Organised, proactive, and able to work independently.
* Previous experience in an education setting is desirable but not essential.
