As a subject matter expert in the IT reseller space, you will manage vendor relationships, optimize supplier performance, and ensure procurement priorities align with business objectives. Our Senior Buyer brings a proactive approach to supplier negotiations, process improvements, and cross-functional collaboration. Key Responsibilities Act as the key procurement contact within your category, ensuring a best-in-class service for internal and external stakeholders. Own purchasing workflows and ensure procurement processes run smoothly. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to maximize profitability and improve operational performance. Analyse supplier spend and market trends to identify cost-saving and value-added opportunities. Support the delivery of purchasing performance metrics and procurement priorities. Collaborate with sales, inventory, finance, and other teams to align purchasing strategies with business needs. Provide leadership and mentorship within the Purchasing team, acting as the first point of escalation for issues. Assist in developing and implementing new purchasing policies and system improvements. Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and training new team members. Foster a collaborative, solutions-driven culture within the team and the wider business. Qualifications & Experience Proven experience in procurement, ideally within IT or an IT reseller / technology integrator environment. Strong commercial acumen with experience in supplier negotiations and contract management. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret spend data and market insights. Effective communicator, able to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. Highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure. Proficiency in procurement systems (Navision or similar preferred) and Microsoft Office (Excel & Word). Key Attributes Proactive and self-motivated, with a problem-solving mindset.
