Role Purpose
Ricardo is seeking a proactive and motivated individual to join its Group finance team in Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex. This role provides the opportunity to become a key member of a dynamic, international team, offering broad experience in both monthly management accounting and external financial reporting. The successful candidate will build strong working relationships across the Group and with external partners, such as tax advisers and auditors. This position is designed for someone who could provide cover and progress into other Group finance roles or finance positions within business units.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist in preparing half-year and full-year consolidated financial statements, including analysis for notes and subsidiary statutory accounts.
2. Administer reporting timetables, coordinating inputs from business units, collating data, and liaising with other workstreams.
3. Support the compilation of the Group annual report.
4. Prepare subsidiary statutory accounts.
5. Contribute to the analysis for half-year and full-year results presentations.
6. Support month-end management accounts and Group consolidation, including Group-level postings and adjustments.
7. Prepare analysis for monthly Board reporting and external reporting.
8. Maintain and design month-end accounting system reports.
9. Participate in Group finance projects, focusing on process improvement and control enhancements.
10. Assist with compiling the annual budget and strategic plan.
Skills and Behaviours
1. Part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA, CA).
2. Proficient in Excel; experience with consolidation systems is a plus.
3. Strong analytical and written communication skills.
4. Ability to plan and manage workload, meeting deadlines.
5. Highly organized with attention to detail.
6. Team player with a focus on continuous process improvement.
