About Us:
Autism Plus is dedicated to providing exceptional support and services to individuals with autism and other complex needs. Our chocolate shop and cafe in Easingwold not only serves delicious treats to our customers but also provides a supportive training environment for our trainees.
We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Retail Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for serving customers in our shop and cafe, ensuring an exceptional customer experience. Additionally, you will support and mentor our trainees, helping them develop their skills and confidence.
About the Role:
Hours: 9am - 5pm Friday & Saturdays
Location: Windross Square, Easingwold
Responsibilities:
- Serve customers in the shop and cafe, providing excellent customer service.
- Handle cash transactions and operate the till.
- Assist with the preparation and serving of food and beverages.
- Support trainees in their day-to-day tasks, providing guidance and encouragement.
- Maintain cleanliness.
- Restock shelves and manage inventory as needed.
- Cover weekend shifts and be available to cover annual leave and sickness as required.
Requirements:
- Previous retail or cafe experience is preferred but not essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive and patient attitude, with a passion for helping others.
- Ability to work weekends and cover shifts for annual leave and sickness.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Flexibility and willingness to learn.
