What You'll Be Doing:
Lead the design and development of Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) and advanced III:V photonic components.
Build and nurture collaborations with academic and industry partners, identifying opportunities for breakthrough innovations.
Set the technical direction for major projects, or take charge of key technical packages within R and D initiatives.
Explore and analyze new applications of III:V photonic and IC technology, influencing internal technology and product strategies.
Define and implement cutting:edge approaches for design, simulation, and characterization.
Work closely with teams across Design, Process, Fabrication, and Test to ensure seamless project execution and technical excellence.
What We're Looking For: We're seeking a visionary and experienced leader with a deep understanding of photonic technology.
Required Skills and Experience:
10+ years in photonics, with a strong background in academia or industry, focusing on III:V photonic device development.
Expertise in R and D of key photonic devices, including laser diodes, modulators, detectors, amplifiers, or fiber:based technologies.
In:depth knowledge of the optical communication and consumer photonics market, including applications in DCI, Metro, Long:haul links, WDM, wireless, and sensing.
PhD in Physics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
Strong understanding of III:V optoelectronic device physics, semiconductor manufacturing processes, and epitaxy methods.
Hands:on experience in the design and/or characterization of optoelectronic devices, including DC and RF analysis.
