Our client is a small food manufacturer based in Belfast with ambition to grow and develop. The Commercial Manager will be responsible for developing and successfully implementing the commercial strategy. Key Responsibilities To develop and implement a robust Commercial Strategy to include the development of current Key Accounts, the acquisition of new Key Accounts, new business sectors and the development of the commercial team in order to achieve sales, revenue and profitability targets. To be responsible for actively prospecting, identifying & onboarding new Key Accounts whilst growing business opportunities within existing Key Accounts. To establish close and collaborative customer relationships with key decision makers in each account. To manage, negotiate & liaise with head office buying teams re commercial terms and agreements in line with business pricing strategy. Collaborate effectively with key stakeholders to ensure quick and successful resolution of any customer issues, keeping Heads of Dept informed as required. Conduct regular business reviews with key decision makers within your accounts, developing plans and sales opportunities for growth and the opening of new accounts. Conduct effective and insightful presentations with customers, communicating information & proposals, clearly and appropriately, To provide accurate and regular reporting on Key Account & Commercial team performance, including updates on progress against KPIs, upcoming activities, new business & future planning. The Person Track record of successful sales experience within food & drink manufacturing or distribution This experience should include key account experience managing multiples or convenience grocery retailers. Proven track record of achieving performance KPIs, sales and margin budgets within key accounts. Previous experience of independently preparing complex commercial proposals & managing the commercials of your portfolio Can demonstrate the ability to use own initiative and desire to work independently and find solutions to problems.
