You will assist with the organisation and administration of two stakeholder groups (in March 2025). We will present existing interventions and encourage collaboration between academics, third-sector organizations, and people seeking refuge and asylum. Participants will discuss and co-develop solutions to address mental health challenges, as well as the available health and social support, with a focus on further development. The goal is to create more effective support systems for this vulnerable population.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant interdisciplinary Research Group and learn valuable research skills. If successful, you will be playing a key supporting role to the consultation exercise through undertaking the following key tasks:
Primary Duties
* Liaise with project partners by emails or phone
* Organise stakeholder meetings
* Keep up-to-date records of all correspondence with project partners
* Process purchase orders, payment and expenses claims
* Attend and support the running of two stakeholder groups
* Write up summaries of consultation exercises that can be used for funding bids
Qualifications and Education
* Working towards or have obtained a first degree or above, preferably in social sciences or health care
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* Excellent writing skills
* Excellent IT skills
* Evidence of working as part of a research team, and/or as a research assistant e.g. CUROP, internship
Communication and Team Working
* Proven communication skills with a diverse audience online and offline
* Excellent organisational and team-working skills
Additional/Desirable
* Experience of working with people from a diverse background
* Experience of organising stakeholder groups in a personal or professional capacity
* Willingness to work flexible hours
