About The Role We are growing our Installations Team to meet the ever-increasing needs of our expanding business. To help us achieve this we are looking for an Installation Operative in the Great Yarmouth area, someone who is prepared to travel across the UK if required, including overnight stays as needed. If you have experience within the construction industry and are looking for a career in a reputable business with fantastic progression paths, then this is the role for you As an Installation Operative you will work directly with the Installation Supervisors. Teamwork is very important for this role; you will need to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with your team to get the job done. A positive attitude and integrity will be equally essential. Whilst on site you will be installing pipework, assist our drivers with loading and unloading of our vehicles. As this is a physically demanding role a good level of fitness is required to be able to carry out your day-to-day tasks. Health & Safety is paramount for this position and safety guidelines will need to be always adhered to. You will be working on construction sites with potential risks in and around your work area. Not only will you need to manage your own safety but also be aware of the safety of others around you. Flexibility for this role is a must as you will be involved in a call out rota and be expected to commit to supporting your team by working overtime outside of your normal 40 hour working week. This will give you the opportunity to earn fantastic increased overtime rates. Tasks & Responsibilities: You will promote and exercise the company’s mission statement and core values to deliver the required uniformed approach to an installation across the UK. Ensuring you continually adhere to our SHEQ policies and procedures focusing on best practice. You would be required to manage your own site safety and be a part of the safety of everybody else on site completing the installation & work in accordance with on-site RAMS produced, to ensuring all on-site risks have been identified and stringent control measures have been put into place and communicated to you. You would be required to work safely in accordance with the methodology of the installation that has been communicated to all staff and customers before the work commences. Keep the site installation work, yard and workshop area clean and tidy at all times and will need to be able to assist with loading and unloading of vehicles, checking against paperwork, missing, damages and fuel charges. This role is subject to a safety critical medical. Qualifications & Experience: Essential: Must have the aptitude to work on construction sites and have a good understanding of onsite safety. Be able to adapt and meet challenging situations with a positive approach You will need to be flexible with working hours and be available to be part of our ‘on call’. Be willing and able to travel and on occasions work away from home & hold a current Full UK driving license This role requires the employees to be willing and able to work at heights, work in confined spaces, lone working and work with sewage.
