Position Overview
The Construction Site Material Controller/Labourer is responsible for performing general labour tasks to support the Fuel Production Operations Team, managing and controlling materials on and across our Fuel Production Sites, ensuring that all materials are stored correctly and available when needed.
Key Responsibilities
* Site Support: Assist with general labour tasks such as minor installation works, setting up and cleaning work areas, moving materials, and operating basic construction equipment.
* Material Management: Receive, inspect, and store materials delivered to the site. Ensure accurate inventory records and timely distribution of materials across site.
* Stock Control: Conduct regular stock checks and audits to maintain accurate inventory levels. Report any discrepancies or shortages to the Site Manager and Hydrogen Production General Manager as required.
* Safety Compliance: Follow all health and safety regulations on-site, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of materials.
* Communication: Liaise with suppliers, site managers, and other team members to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of materials.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have / Be
* Previous experience in material control or a similar role in the construction industry.
* Ability to operate basic construction equipment.
* Forklift Truck (FLT) license (Counterbalance, Combilift, and Reach) is required.
* CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card is required.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Reliable and punctual.
* Ability to work well under pressure.
* Team player with a proactive attitude.
