We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Primary SEN Tutor to support students in Abingdon. If you have a strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and experience working with children with Autism, ADHD, Global Developmental Delay, and other additional needs, this is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference.

Key Responsibilities:
Assess the individual needs of primary-aged students and develop tailored schemes of work.
Plan and deliver engaging, structured sessions that align with the primary curriculum.
Provide targeted support to children with Autism, ADHD, Global Developmental Delay, and other SEN.
Adapt teaching strategies to meet students’ unique learning styles and overcome barriers to learning.
Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to parents, carers, and other professionals where appropriate.
Build positive, supportive relationships with students to foster confidence and independence in learning.
About You:
Experienced in teaching or tutoring primary-aged children with SEN.
Knowledgeable about the primary curriculum and adept at adapting it to meet diverse needs.
Confident in assessing, planning, and delivering personalized learning plans.
Patient, empathetic, and passionate about helping young learners succeed.
Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with parents and professionals.
Requirements:
Relevant teaching or tutoring experience (QTS or SEN-specific qualifications are desirable but not essential).
Understanding of SEN strategies and interventions for primary-aged children.
A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or willingness to obtain one.
Flexibility to work part-time hours tailored to student needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
