Main duties of the job
The Cheltenham & Gloucester Hospitals Charity supports the Trust's hospitals by raising, managing and distributing funds on behalf of Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

You'll play an important part in helping us grow our donor base and build lasting relationships with our supporters. Your creativity and enthusiasm will help us develop innovative campaigns that resonate with our community and increase donor engagement.
You will work closely with the Head of Income Generation and Philanthropic Manager to collaborate across the wider team to ensure our fundraising activities align with the charity's goals. This role is perfect for someone with some experience in individual giving or transferable skills, such as account management and marketing, who is eager to contribute to income growth, develop professionally, and make a real impact.
Job responsibilities
1. Lead and develop the charity's Individual Giving programme, focusing on acquiring new supporters, retaining existing donors, and increasing income through appeals, regular giving, in-memory donations, and legacy gifts.
2. Create and oversee engaging campaigns and materials, such as appeals, newsletters, and acquisition initiatives, by crafting compelling copy and sourcing impactful content to connect with supporters.
3. Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to plan, deliver, and evaluate integrated campaigns, ensuring effective execution across various channels, including direct mail, digital communications, and targeted appeals.
4. Utilise data analysis and donor segmentation to develop personalised stewardship plans that strengthen relationships, enhance loyalty, and maximise donor value.
5. Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including the Fundraising Regulator and Charity Commission.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Educated to GCSE Level or equivalent Grade C English and Mathematics Grade C or equivalent.
Knowledge
* Substantial experience with a proven track record in fundraising, preferably within a health or hospital environment.
* Awareness of best fundraising practice (including the Fundraising Standards Board Codes of Fundraising Practice).
* Knowledge and experience of fundraising CRM systems and utilising data.
Skills
* Strong prioritisation skills and organisational skills, ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Able to plan projects, identifying and delivering on key milestones to ensure success of long-term projects.
