Work within Group Tax to manage the indirect tax requirements of our growing and evolving digital sales channels, ensuring we always serve customers, communities and the planet a little better everyday. Engage with stakeholders across Tesco, working with others to deliver objectives and deliver measurable improvements. You will be responsible for
* Working closely with the Finance Change, Finance Technology, Finance and Operations teams to help deliver enhanced digital platforms.
* Being the Indirect Tax subject matter expert and advising on the tax requirements associated with these sales channels, both within the UK and across our markets.
* Monitoring progress of delivery and updating stakeholders including business leaders on the deliverables.
* Achieving great results by inspiring, engaging and leading others; you make our customers and colleagues feel valued. Knowing your stuff, sharing your knowledge and enthusiasm, the way you manage makes Tesco a great place to work and shop.
* Taking ownership of processes and systems, making sure they are effective and efficient; you spot issues and swiftly find the best simplest solutions. Being flexible in your approach, you are able to manage various projects and programmes of work across different areas, improving different parts of the shopping trip for customers or simplifying our operations with new initiatives.
* Completing a post implementation review, to understand the lessons learned, sharing these with stakeholders and ensuring continuous improvements on ‘the what’ and ‘the how’ is in place
You will need
* Previous work experience in a professional environment (practice and/or industry)
* Detailed knowledge of Indirect Tax law Accountancy and/or Tax professional qualification
* Strong Stakeholder management skill.
* Progress monitoring including risk & issue management.
* Delivery & control experience.
