What would you say are the primary responsibilities of a Healthcare Assistant working in an Endoscopy Unit? As a knowledgeable Healthcare Assistant, what extended healthcare skills would you say you have? How well do you play your role as part of a committed and focused team? The Endoscopy Healthcare Assistants work a busy role in a fast-paced environment, providing that individual patient cantered care coupled with that efficient and effective service to referring GP's This is a permanent position Working 10.5 hour days on a 2-week shift pattern from Monday to Saturday Week 1 3 shifts Week 2 4 shifts What you'll be doing As one of our Endoscopy Healthcare Assistants, you will be reporting to and assisting the Endoscopy Lead Nursein setting up the unit ready for the busy flow of booked patient's. You will be preparing patients before their procedure as well as supporting the service throughout the patient pathway. As an Endoscopy Healthcare Assistant you will be ensuring that our patients receive a high standard of care. You will receive a full induction and support throughout this period of time. Communicating is key in ensuring we are always giving the best patent cantered care. You will be working closely with all members of the Endoscopy team and will be conscious of health, aspects in a department. What we'll look for in you We are looking for an individual who is friendly, polite and has a genuine caring nature, who enjoys working as part of a great team and playing your part in making it even greater You will be computer literate, and willing to undertake training in local computer systems. You will be effective communicator at all levels, both written and verbal as you will of course be communicating with your patients as well as their family, friends or carers.
