Talent Works is collaborating with a rapidly growing racing team that is entering the FIA Formula One World Championship. This ambitious team is preparing for significant growth and requires a robust quality assurance framework to sustain its high-performance culture. As part of this dynamic environment, we are looking for a dedicated Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team at the new Silverstone Facility. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our suppliers meet the quality standards required to support our engineering and manufacturing operations effectively. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement supplier quality assurance processes, including criteria for supplier selection and evaluation. Develop and create supplier requirements and audit documents to meet business quality standards. Conduct regular audits of suppliers to assess their quality systems, processes, and compliance with specifications. Collaborate with procurement and engineering teams to identify and resolve quality issues with parts and components supplied. Support procurement and the suppliers with root cause analysis of quality issues and implementation of corrective and preventive actions. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to promote a culture of continuous improvement in quality performance. Track and report on supplier performance metrics, sharing insights and recommended actions with stakeholders. Support new product introductions by ensuring that supplier capabilities meet project requirements. Assist in training and mentoring suppliers on quality requirements and expectations. Remain abreast of industry standards and best practices in supplier quality management. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field. Proven experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer or similar role, preferably in the automotive or motorsport industry. Strong understanding of metallic materials, their properties, and the manufacturing processes involved, including familiarity with metalworking processes (e.g., forging, casting, machining, welding) and quality control techniques. Strong knowledge of composite materials (e.g., carbon fiber, fiberglass, thermosets, and thermoplastics), including composite manufacturing processes (e.g., lay-up, autoclave, resin infusion). Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and tools including Six Sigma, Lean, and Root Cause Analysis. Experience in conducting supplier audits and assessing compliance to standards and specifications. Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive decision-making. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement. Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and automotive requirements is a plus. Proficiency in MS Office and quality management software.
