Job Purpose: Engage with employers to support progression for learners.
The Employer Engagement Officer is a key member of the PET Sales and Engagement/Recruitment Team, supporting our learners to gain access to a variety of employment opportunities as part of the Skills Bootcamp Provision. The post holder will have responsibility and accountability for meeting/exceeding key performance indicators for securing interviews and job offers.
The key element of this role will involve identifying employers offering work placements and employment/recruitment opportunities that match the skills, experience, and aspirations of the learner, while also generating and coordinating work placement opportunities for learners.
The Employer Engagement Officer will ensure that they continually identify and build relationships with employers and FE providers. The role will also include offering advice and guidance about employment pathways, career development, recruitment, and job fair type of events.
The post holder will also add additional value to the Sales Team, helping to develop ways to support learners’ personal development and transition to employment, apprenticeships, or further education.
The successful candidate will undertake the following main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Develop an employer engagement plan in line with agreed performance measures, including rationale for employer targets along with short- and long-term goals, such as:
* Building strong employer relationships
* Searching recruitment vacancies
* Securing employment for learners
* Setting up and securing work placements or progression into further education
1. Have responsibility and accountability for Milestone 2 (Interview) and Milestone 3 (Employment offer) for learners enrolled onto the Level 2 Bootcamp programmes across the academies.
2. Submit weekly reports to the Head of Sales around engagement and outcomes for learners.
3. Plan and execute forward-looking engagement/recruitment plans to meet the employment needs of future bootcamp learners.
4. Network with potential employers advocating Skills Academies services and learners.
5. Set up, book, and attend appointments and meetings with referral partners to promote the opportunities developed through relationships with employers.
6. Develop and deliver appropriate involvement mechanisms such as supporting existing partnerships and academy events.
7. Prepare written reports, presentations, and updates as required.
8. Develop employer engagement/recruitment strategies and approaches for various products and services, such as special promotions, employer focus groups, and sponsored events.
9. Work in partnership with recruitment agencies and stakeholders to develop and deliver activities that deliver required outcomes.
10. Contribute information, ideas, and research to help develop marketing strategies.
11. Help detail, design, and implement engagement and marketing plans for each service being offered.
12. Set marketing schedules and coordinate with colleagues, sponsors, media representatives, and others to implement strategies across multiple channels.
13. Answer questions from customers about product and service benefits.
14. Maintain excellent relationships with internal and external customers through superior customer service.
15. Track sales data and work to meet Skills Academies sales team goals, analyze trends, data, demographics, pricing strategies, and other information that can potentially improve marketing and sales performance.
16. Attend trade shows and travel to meet employers and stakeholders as needed.

6. Knowledge of funding rules is an advantage.
7. Knowledge of local employability and support provision.

1. Construction sector experience.
2. Recruitment sector background.
The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications:
1. Educated to a minimum of GCSE grade C in English and Maths or equivalent.
