Clinical Admin Support Role to provide a welcoming reception service in a patient-facing Local Mental Health Team.
Working collaboratively with Admin and Clinical Colleagues in a friendly environment.
Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. In these circumstances, the Trust would not, therefore, be able to sponsor for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa.

Main duties of the job
1. Reception duties including, first point of contact dealing with incoming calls, monitoring patients & visitor attendance, and incoming mail.
2. Maintain health care records including computerized systems and databases.
3. Type correspondence as required.
4. Co-ordinate healthcare appointments for patients.
5. Word process correspondence including letters, memos, and typing reports.
6. May be required to take notes/minutes at team meetings.
7. Filing and photocopying, scanning and attaching documents.
8. Implement and maintain adequate filing and follow-up systems.
9. Transfer of individual and bulk files for archiving between locations.
10. Input clinical data and maintain.
11. Identify health and safety practices that are appropriate to self and others.
12. Participate in appropriate training courses and updates in accordance with mandatory requirements and undertake a personal development plan 'My Annual Review'.
13. Work as a team to provide cover for sickness and annual leave, as and when required.
14. Receive and make internal and external telephone calls from staff, service users/patients, members of the public, and external agencies ensuring that messages received are appropriately signposted and actioned.
15. Undertake any other duties that would be a reasonable expectation of this role.

Job responsibilities
This is a customer-facing role that requires the post holder to provide an efficient, tactful, comprehensive, and confidential reception, clerical, and administrative service for the department. This will include being the first point of contact on telephone calls, maintaining patient-related records/databases, making appointments, and preparing correspondence.

Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.
You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.

Skills
* Excellent IT skills and knowledge of IT systems.
Qualifications
* Minimum OCR/RSA II typing/word processing or equivalent level of knowledge and experience.
* NVQ2 Business & Administration or working towards.
* ECDL or equivalent Qualification.
Experience
* Experience of working in an office/reception environment.
* NHS Systems.
