Cover Supervisor Location: Hartlepool Contract: Full-time, Temporary Salary: £85- £100 Start Date: April 2025 About the Role: Teaching Personnel is seeking a dynamic and reliable Cover Supervisor to join our dedicated team. As a Cover Supervisor, your primary responsibility will be to supervise students in the absence of their usual teacher, ensuring that the classroom remains productive, positive, and focused on the learning tasks set. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and support students in a range of lessons across various subjects. Ensure students remain engaged with the set work and provide assistance where needed. Maintain classroom order, promoting positive behaviour in line with school policies. Provide feedback to subject teachers on student engagement and work completed. Safeguard students and follow all health and safety guidelines. Support students with additional needs, ensuring an inclusive learning environment. Liaise with staff and students to ensure smooth running of lessons during teacher absence. Who We're Looking For: Experience working with young people in an educational or other relevant setting is desirable but not essential. Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and staff. Organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment. A proactive attitude, with the ability to take initiative and solve problems. An understanding of child safeguarding and welfare.
