Lochee Medical Practice operates under a 2C arrangement within NHS Tayside and we are looking to recruit a Medical Secretary / Administrative Assistant who will work in partnership with the Practice Manager, Clinical Lead GP, Administration and Clinical teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in general practice administration, be enthusiastic and motivated to provide a full and comprehensive secretarial and administrative service to the practice. You should possess excellent keyboard, organisational and clerical skills. You will be required to have the ability to communicate and work effectively across multi disciplinary teams. You must also have the ability to work under pressure, manage and respond to conflicting issues in a rapidly changing environment. Attention to detail, accuracy, critical thinking and problem solving will be required for this role. It is important that you can work as part of a team and a degree of flexibility will be required with regards to work patterns. It is essential that you enjoy working with the public, have excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly and welcoming manner. There may be a requirement to work across other 2C practices in Dundee should the need arise. You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
