Site Manager - Digital Infrastructure
Farnborough
What you will be doing:
* Take full responsibility for production functions on security projects of typical value between £1m-£8m that are allocated from award through to completion.
* Work with a regional team and report to the project manager in delivering several sites on a National basis.
* Ensure compliance to the appropriate approved standards.
* Effectively liaise with the Client, Designer, and relevant sub-contractors at a site level while reporting into the regional Project Manager.
* Communicate effectively and efficiently while managing and supervising approved sub-contractors during their works.
* Maintain accurate site records.
* Ensure that the approved method of working and quality of the works is to the required standard.
* Ensure that the necessary security of the works is maintained at all times.
* Issue and control permits to work and implement safe working practices with a zero-harm culture.
* Deliver the constructed works within the defined timescales and costs ensuring high quality of finished products.
* Ensure adherence to Galliford Try business management systems.
* Be adept at on-site management, approval of risk assessments and method statements, problem-solving, and negotiating issues.
About You:
* Strong team member with a very good understanding of general civil engineering works and health and safety requirements.
* Experience within the construction industry and knowledge of relevant security standards.
* Willingness to undertake security clearance to SC level as a minimum.
* Previous experience on MOD projects is preferable but not essential.
* Strong working relationships with clients & civils sub-contractors.
* Able to manage surveying and investigation activities, perimeter fencing contractors, installation of drainage and ducting systems, reinforced concrete bases, general excavation works, and integrated security management solutions.
* A strong team player willing to travel and be flexible as required.
