As a Junior sister/ charge nurse of AMU department you are responsible for assessment of clients entering the AMU Department, prioritisation of treatment, delivery of care and evaluation.
The post holder is expected to carry out all relevant forms of care with or without direct supervision, required to demonstrate procedures and to supervise qualified and/or unqualified staff in AMU Ward & SDEC unit.
Main Duties of Junior Sister / Charge nurse in AMU Department is to oversee the day to day function of allocated units in AMU department - Acute Medical Ward and SDEC- Same day emergency unit.
Support the Senior team leaders on Management Financial and physical dimensions on effective budgetary management & day to day management of the clinical unit activity levels.
Support and manage together with senior team leaders in managing post holders within ward establishment.
Responsible for leading team & ensuring an appropriately skilled and effective workforce.
Flexible approach to working patterns - this post will require rotation to night duty and will require weekend working including bank holidays to ensure the units establishments.
As a Junior Sister / Charge nurse in AMU department your responsibilities are:

Support Senior team leaders in managing post holders within ward establishment including registered nurses & generic support workers.
Responsible for leading the emergency team and ensuring an appropriate skilled and effective workforce.
Flexible approach to working patterns - this post will require rotation to night duty and will require weekend working.
To work in both areas of AMU Department which is AMU ward & SDEC ( Same day emergency care) Unit.
