Our client is the supply chain management function of the NHS, aiming to leverage their buying power by identifying and delivering a resilient national supply chain for high quality medical and non-medical products at the best value through a more sustainable approach.
They are looking for a Head of Marketing and Communications to support their 10 year company vision in positioning the organisation as a part of the NHS system and bring excellence in their procurement and supply chain capabilities, for the benefit of patient care. With a new CEO in place and ambitious vision, there is a need for new creative thinking to help achieve these new exciting goals and steer the marketing and communications team. This is a highly strategic and visionary role overseeing an established team of 40 people with six direct reports.
You will be taking responsibility for the reputation and voice of the organisation, positioning and promotion of the provided services, while leading and overseeing teams to support delivery of the organisational priorities.

Key responsibilities:
1. Developing and delivering an annual marketing and communications plan, with clear outcomes and outputs, aligned to corporate priorities.
2. Leveraging data (internal and external) to propose and establish clear KPIs to monitor the effectiveness of the overall strategy, specific campaigns, and key metrics.
3. Demonstrating strong and experienced leadership and decision-making skills while leading and overseeing the Marketing, Corporate Communications, Internal Communication, Stakeholder Management, Customer Value Proposition & Events and the Web and Digital teams to support delivery of the organisational priorities.
4. Contributing to culture which values diversity and inclusion and promote an environment where your own and your colleagues’ safety and well-being is promoted.
Key requirements:
1. Several years experience in Marketing and Communications in the private sector, ideally in a B2B environment or healthcare; leading agile and engaging communications and marketing campaigns, both internal and external.
2. Proven leadership skills in managing a large marketing and communications team and developing tangible ROI goals.
3. Experience of managing a variety of stakeholders, including senior leadership, as well as the capability to influence and directly engage a wide range of stakeholders to achieve desired results.
4. Knowledge and understanding of customer and supplier needs within the industry and working in organisations where supply chain topics are material.
