About the Role:
Are you passionate about supporting young people and creating a positive school environment?
Long Term Futures is working with a forward-thinking secondary school in Westminster, seeking a dedicated Pastoral Mentor to join their team from January 2025. This role focuses on working closely with students across all year groups, addressing their social, emotional, and behavioural needs (SEMH) to help them thrive both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:
- Work directly with students, providing 1:1 mentoring and group sessions to address emotional and behavioural challenges
- Collaborate with the pastoral team and senior leaders to design and implement effective student support strategies
- Build strong relationships with students, acting as a role model and trusted mentor
- Support students in managing transitions, attendance, and engagement with their learning
- Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure a cohesive approach to student well-being
- Assist with school-wide initiatives promoting positive behaviour and emotional resilience

Who We're Looking For:
- Previous experience in a pastoral or mentoring role, preferably within a secondary school setting
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting young people
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and establish positive relationships
- Knowledge of safeguarding and behaviour management techniques
- A genuine passion for student welfare and helping young people achieve their potential
Details You Need to Know:
- Full-time, Monday to Friday
- Paid £115 - £125 per day, term time only
- Based in Westminster, London - easily accessible by public transport
- Start date: January 2025, with potential for a long-term placement
