About the Role: As a WCA Functional Specialist, you will conduct thorough assessments of health conditions and disabilities affecting individuals for the Government's Work Capability Assessment (WCA) benefit. This is an exciting hybrid working opportunity for Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and Paramedics to leverage their existing clinical knowledge and take on a new role with a leading employer.
Responsibilities: Preparing each case prior to assessment, delivering Work Capability Assessment reports, gathering further evidence, and returning required documentation. Assessing a wide range of health conditions and disabilities, including physical, sensory, mental, intellectual, and cognitive impairments. Time built into the working rota for breaks, CPD, audit amendments, requesting and reviewing further evidence, and team meetings.
Requirements: Qualified Nurse, Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, or Paramedic with 1+ years post-qualification experience, valid registration on NMC or HCPC without restrictions, excellent communication skills, and strong IT literacy.
