Job Title: Maintenance Engineer
Shift: 4 on, 4 off rotating days/nights
We are currently working with a Tier-1 Global system integrator in the Automation industry. Our client is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for breakdown and planned preventative maintenance on a variety of fully-automated modern machinery equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Carry out automated machinery equipment servicing in line with equipment manuals and quality standards.
2. Undertake scheduled repairs according to manufacturer recommendations and industry best practices.
3. Prioritise system faults efficiently.
4. Adhere strictly to Health & Safety legislation.
5. Optimize on-site spare parts inventory.
6. Maintain a professional image and strong customer relationships.
7. Comply with all company quality processes and procedures.
8. Make customer satisfaction a top priority in all on-site decisions.
Essential Skills and Experience:
1. Ability to excel under pressure whilst representing a respected business on a customer's site in challenging situations.
2. Strong all-round engineering skills.
3. Qualified Electrical or Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with a recognised apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
4. Working at heights certification.
5. In-depth understanding of Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronic technical manuals and drawings.
6. Proven experience working with automation equipment, including pallet de-stackers and cranes (desirable).
7. Knowledge of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules.
