Specialist Occupational Therapist (Community)

We have the exciting opportunity to appoint a Band 6 Specialist Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic and energetic Community Therapy Team based at Okehampton Community Hospital.
The post is a permanent role, for those seeking part-time hours up to 22.5 hours a week, although we are happy to explore each individual's specific circumstance.
Main duties of the job
As a key member of the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, you will be joining an exceptional team working together to help our patients to stay healthy when they need it most.
Job responsibilities
The Community Therapy team works with adults who have a wide range of disabilities which may be acute or long-term, often requiring flexible and creative case management, clinical tenacity, and professional accountability to deliver excellent holistic patient care. Our work is consistently varied and stimulating, covering admission prevention and supporting discharge, with a dedicated focus on rehabilitation in a range of Community settings, utilising medical, social, and public health approaches. The Community Therapy Team works within the broader Health and Social Care team alongside colleagues from Community Nursing and Adult Social Care.
